Launch of new PCO associate--the PCOEAG

BELLEVUE, Wah. — A new pest control industry association, the PCOEAG (Pest Control Operator’s Achievement Group) was launched last week.

The Treftz Corp announced the launch of the industry’s newest association, focused on recognizing leaders in environmental achievement. The group’s website, www.pcoeag.org, states that the PCO Environmental Achievement Group exemplifies innovation and leadership in the pest control industry.   Cascade Pest Control, a division of Treftz Corp., was a pioneer in working with environmental groups and has earned environmental awards the last 15 years.

“The pest control industry as a whole has been conscientiously serving families and businesses, protecting them from pests and pest-borne diseases for years,” said Kurt Treftz of Cascade. “And now, a number of companies have developed their practices to where government agencies and others are recognizing them. The PCOEAG provides the platform for us to network, share best practices, discuss areas of concern as well as for each to be recognized for that commitment.”

The PCO EAG is designed to raise public awareness of member companies through three levels of participation. The highest level of recognition:
·         Executive membership is awarded to those companies that have earned environmental recognition from either a state or federal government agency.
·         Standard members have earned local recognition for their environmental practices.
·         Associate membership is for smaller companies or those who have yet to be recognized. It provides a way for them to demonstrate their commitment to adhere to the group’s code of ethics and standards.
While the initial launch is focused on pest control operators in the United States, the PCO EAG is open to all pest control companies worldwide that meet the environmental standards of the association.

Don Leland, group administrator, encourages every pest control company to consider joining. “With three levels of participation any company can be recognized for their effort to be more environmentally aware, and this prestigious brand will help set them apart in their marketplace.

Leland added, “During the launch of PCOEAG.org we are discounting membership for a limited time, so we encourage everyone to act quickly.”

Members can display a unique logo on their websites to raise customer awareness about their commitment to environmentally-conscious best-practices. The PCOEAG has future plans to develop a blog, design marketing packets, and direct interested consumers to the closest PCOEAG member-company for service.

Founded in 2010, PCOEAG.org is the new industry benchmark for pest control companies worldwide. For more information go to the website at www.pcoeag.org.
